Heels On The High Street – February 2016

by

As you can probably tell from the name of this blog, I like a good pair of heels and I am a champion for taking a pair with you on your travels. So I’m always on the lookout for the perfect pair that fit the bill. Here’s the checklist:

  • They can’t take up massive amounts of space in your backpack.
  • They shouldn’t be too heavy.
  • They need to go with most of your travel capsule wardrobe.
  • They should be as comfy as possible.

It’s no mean feat, I know. But you guys have me, and I’m here to bring you the best on the High Street right now.

Here’s the February 2016 edit, folks.

February has thrown out some right gems on the shoes front. Now that the January sales are over, SS16 is out in full force, so there’s more sandals out there and a splash of colour starting to come through. Here’s my selections this month…

Topshop

Topshop’s SS16 range is already looking good with some chic black sling-backs (£56), boho tan lace-ups (£29), showstopping red numbers (£52) and a pair of gorgeous printed black heels (£52). What a treat.

New Look

New Look are great for affordable footwear, and they’ve gone full steam ahead with the lace-up trend. Like seriously, every colour and heel height you could want. This section includes interpretation of the ‘Ghilli’ style in black (£27.99), pale pink (£27.99) and tan leather (£34.99), with another more solid lace-up option (£24.99).

ASOS

ASOS is the go-to website for statement heels, and ok they may not go with everything, but if you want a pair of stand-out heels that will jazz up a basic outfit, these are winners. We’ve got metallic blue mid-heels (£38), pretty glittery silver numbers (£40), some chunky-but-chic black lace-ups (£38) and statement courts that are definitely different (£45).

Zara

Oh Zara, why are your shoes so beautiful? Why must you tempt me away from saving money and spending it on shoes instead? Seriously awesome selection at Zara right now. I love the tan cut-out sandals (£49.99) and the simple white mules (£39.99). There’s also some glittery jazzy mid-heels (£35.99) and patent ankle strappys (£29.99).
