Seeing as January dragged on like an ex you can’t seem to get rid of, February was practically a quick fling. It bloody flew by. But luckily I managed to fit in a few adventures.
I skipped off to Rome for the weekend to attend the launch party of brand new street art-inspired hostel, TheRomeHello (see the full review over here) as well as eating my body weight in pizza. I also had a fun weekend in London to celebrate Josh’s 30th birthday.
I have a few more blog posts to write about these two fun-filled weekends but in the meantime, here are my faves from February.

This Month I’m Wearing… Some Kickass Sunglasses.
As spring is right around the corner, I figured it was only right to get my mitts on some new sunnies. I just can’t get enough sunglasses it seems.
And these pink ASOS cat-eye babies are everything, plus a total bargain at £12.
This Month I’m Celebrating… Josh’s 30th Birthday.
Josh finally joined me in the 30 club. We celebrated with a boozy London weekender with our best pals. I’m going to write a post about the sick bottomless brunch we went to so watch this space, but I wanted to share this lil video I made for him. It’s completely unrelated to travel or anything, but I’m proud of it so what the hell.

This Month I’m Listening To… Alvvays.
Also for Josh’s birthday, we went to a gig at the Roundhouse in Camden – to see Alvvays. I hadn’t heard much of their stuff beforehand but they’re really good! You should definitely check them out if you like nice Indie Pop music.

This Month I’m Eating… Cacio E Pepe.
Can you believe a carb-addict like me had never eaten Cacio E Pepe? I heard it was the thing to eat in Rome so gave it a whirl at a food hall called Il Mercato Centrale Roma. And oh baby. It’s SO good.
I’ve already looked up recipes to recreate this dish at home and it seems pretty simple – it’s just made from parmesan, butter and black pepper. Can’t be too tricky, right? I’ll report back my findings in this very important matter ASAP.
