July Faves 2018: Platforms, PJs & Ragu!

by

Sup babestations? Here’s my faves from the month of July 2018. It’s been quiet on the travel front, what with announcing my pregnancy and all, but there have been a few things floating my boat. Here they are, kiddo.

July Faves

This Month I’m Wearing… ASOS Maternity PJs

Over the last month or so, I have officially crossed the line into “too big for my clothes”, so have invested in some maternity bits and bobs to see me through. This has mainly consisted of roomy maternity leggings, basic tees and floaty tea dresses. But by far, my favourite purchase has been my ASOS cactus maternity pyjamas! (£22)

They are super comfortable, so I often get home from work and change straight into them. And I’m not going to lie, I can see me wearing them long past having my baby! SO BLOODY COMFY.

This Month I’m Also Wearing… Spacey Rocketdog Platforms

Another month, another pair of platforms I’m loving! But this time, LOOK HOW AMAZING. These spacey Lazer Beam Rocketdog platform sandals (£35) are just so dreamy and right in time for Mercury Retrograde! (Please don’t take another phone from me, MR.)

They’ve got a bit of height to them but still feel quite comfy. And of course they are freaking cool. Just praying my stupid pregnant feet don’t swell any more…

This Month I’m Been… Clearing Out My House!

We have an impending house move next month and what with the increase in “stuff” that is inevitable when having a baby (think furniture, clothes, nappies, all the random apparatus I still don’t know the function of), I’ve started the mammoth job of clearing out my house.

It’s a big job, so I’m trying to do little jobs every weekend to spread it out. But so far I’ve had a crazy-big wardrobe clear out and gave TEN bags of clothes/shoes/accessories to charity shops. I feel like Marie Kondo right now and it feels great.

This Month I’ve Been Eating… At The Greedy Italian

Ok, this is Milton Keynes-specific, I know. But I can’t get over how amazing the food is at The Greedy Italian in Bletchley. They do one of the best Ragus I’ve ever had, including dishes I’ve eaten in actual, real-life Italy.

And after a few months of not really enjoying food (pregnancy, innit), it’s feels so good to finally have that feeling again, when you just LOVE a meal. So I mean, I thought that was a good enough reason to include it here. Ragu of dreams, okay?

This Month I’m Still Obsessed With… The Body Shop Skincare

I’ve been on a bit of a slow burn with The Body Shop. I started off with my fave Vitamin C Microdermabrasion exfoliator from there. Then I decided to swap from my Clinique moisturiser to their Vitamin E Moisturiser (which is exactly the same except cruelty-free). Oh and I love their Seaweed Toner.

And since then I’ve snowballed in to basically spending all of my money on skincare from The Body Shop!

New this month, I’m obsessed with their Oils Of Life Sleeping Cream and Vitamin C Liquid Peel. I mean this is next-level skincare from my basic routine but I love it. The night cream makes my skin feel so soft and the liquid peel is a fun, once a week product to get rid of dead skin.

Wait, am I a beauty blogger now though?

And that’s a wrap on July! Just a quick one this month but come back next time for all of the things tickling my pickle in August folks.

Keep an eye on my Instagram and Twitter for regular updates in the meantime, pal.
