A Lovely Little Homeware Edit To Make You Happy To Stay Home!

by

We’re staying home. We’re protecting the NHS and saving lives. We’re flattening the curve. All those buzzwords that are being rammed down our throats at the moment. It’s not a situation we can change, but we can change the way we react to it. We can feel trapped in our homes or we can feel grateful for this time to reset and rest and take stock. And let’s be real here, binge Disney+ to our little hearts’ content.

I’m going for the latter, lads. I want to try my very best to enjoy this time and try to keep the anxiety at bay. To spend quality time with my pretty-bloody-wonderful little family and generally look after myself a bit more.

But the thing that keeps bugging me, is that my house needs some work. We bought our home last year and have since tried to make it as cosy as possible (here’s our living room). But when you’re spending every waking moment in the same house, you realise how much you still need to do on it!

And I’m not talking the big stuff here. Tiling the kitchen and painting our bedroom can wait. (Although I am aiming to learn some basic DIY skills during this time and tick the first thing off my bucketlist for my thirties!) But so much crap needs organising, y’know? I need some more storage and I have shelves I haven’t styled into the perfectly Instagrammable shot just yet.

So I’ve made a few homeware purchases over the last few weeks of captivity, just so that I have some nice things to look at around the house. So that I can put some stuff away in little cute baskets or have some pretty trinkets on my desk whilst working from home. A nice new mug to drink 45 cuppas from every day. That kind of thing.

And I figured you might be keen to do the same. So I’ve put together a little edit of home stuff you can shop online from the comfort of your loungewear. Just little homeware bits and bobs to make your house a nicer place to spend time in.

Disclaimer: There are some affiliate links in here, lads. But I’ve only included stuff I genuinely want or have already bought!
