Well what do you know, it’s that time of year again. The Christmas sandwiches are in Pret, the diary is getting booked up with turkey lunches and festive catch-ups, and the John Lewis ad has become a hot topic of conversation in the office. CHRISTMAS IS FINALLY HERE.
And on this blog, that means one thing… Christmas Gift Guides!
I mean, I don’t like to be an absolute blogging cliche when I can help it, but gift guides are something I just love creating. Mainly because it’s just me shopping around and writing my Christmas list. And who doesn’t love to do that?
I’m hopefully going to knock a few of these out, I can never seem to limit myself to just one, but I thought I’d start with a “shopping small” edition. Aka, shopping from small, independent brands rather than from the top dogs on the High Street. I always think that smaller independent brands are more relateable, like it’s all about someone at the heart of the business chasing their dream, y’know? So I want to support them, rather than give all my hard-earned cash to millionaire CEOs.
It’s even better if you can find local businesses, especially somewhere like Milton Keynes where independent shopping is few and far between. But to make it more relevant for most of you reading this, I’ve stuck to online businesses in the UK. Happy shopping little elves!
