I don’t know about you but I’m loving the culottes trend at the moment. To be fair, I pretty much love any trend that allows me to wear comfortable clothes that I can eat a big meal in and not feel like I’m being squeezed to death by a boa constrictor. And still look fabulous while I’m at it.
The culottes trend has been on the cards for a couple of seasons now but Summer 2015 is when it’s going to hit big.
It was all over Fashion Week and celebs like Victoria Beckham and Rita Ora are loving it. And I adore this shoot by Vogue Brazil – http://thefashionsight.com/culottes-vogue-brazil-2014/
So why am I telling you all about this fabulous trend? It’s totally fit for travelling.
Light and airy in the heat, multi-purpose as you can wear them with sandals in the day and with heels at night, would go with a lot of outfits, and they just look so chic.
Also, when I travelled Southeast Asia, I was seriously lacking bottoms that covered my knees. And most temples have strict guidelines that knees and shoulders need to be covered at all times (a mean feat when all you’ve brought is denim shorts and strappy tops).
So basically, culottes tick all of the boxes.
Here are some you can go grab right now…
These bad boys are even in the sale! Get ‘em quick.
‘Well that’s all well and good Kara, but how do I wear them’ I hear you cry! Don’t worry they’re totally wearable, not just for the fash-pack. Here’s a little idea of how to style them for both day and night…

So what are you waiting for?!?
Just wondering, as someone who wants to start a blog- can I use any image as long as I reference the photographer/source, as you’ve done above? Thanks!
Hi Ella, it seems to be a bit of grey area to be honest as most blogs I follow do so, but I don’t think it’s officially allowed and can get you into a bit of hot water… I’m in the process of going back through my posts to remove these kind of images!!
Thank you so much!! This has really helped.
