Travel Fashion Fix: Swimwear Diaries

by

For my Anchored cruise last month, I figured I needed to up my swimwear game. I mean, when sunbathing on the top deck is the main activity for the day, it’s probs best to invest in a swimsuit or two. Or you know, four. Don’t judge me.

So here’s some of the new swimwear items I took with me! Although I’ll admit I was super self-concious taking outfit photos on a boat full of people so please forgive the selfies and crinkly flat-lays, y’all. Here goes.

Swimwear Diaries: Summer 2017

The Slogan One

This was an impulse buy in my pre-holiday Primark visit. I don’t know what it is about Primark but I lose my shit in that place. I mean, who needs to buy 4 candles, 3 bras and 5 PJ bottoms every week? Me apparently.

Anyway, I really like this cobalt blue number and bought it purely for the colour tbh. But a good destination-based slogan goes a long way. And I think it’s pretty cute and easy-to-wear.

The Tropical One

I really like this tropical swimsuit by Superdry (my go-to brand at the moment). It is a bit booby, but the straps on the back are cute and the print is fun, it’s a good all rounder.

Here I’ve worn it with a Superdry beach tote, Topshop black kimono and Primark sandals. And that standard blogger look-off-into-the-distance pose obvs.

The Two Piece One

A new brand for me! I decided to try out this bikini from Dorina, the swimwear and lingerie brand. It’s all bright colours and Missoni-esque zigzags and cuteness, and gets full marks from me.

It did come up a bit small so I would size up if you buy from them. But I’ll def try out more pieces from them in the future!

The Chic One

Finally, I’m totally in love with this dark green swimsuit from Next. It’s fits really nicely, is super flattering with the waist belt detail and is just oh so chic. I really like it and didn’t feel remotely fat in it, which I think is a mean feat when I’m on a cruise where there is an unlimited buffet for every meal, you know?

Oh and the quality was especially good so I’ll definitely be looking to Next on my next swimwear run! (Soz about the crinkly photo though, it looks much better on, I promise!)

Next Swimsuit

There you have it, my lastest travel fashion fix and the swimwear that tickles my pickle. What do you think?
