Where You Should Travel To Based On Your Starsign!

I know what you’re thinking. Starsigns? Really, Kara?

Really, pal. I bloody love astrology. Despite having one of the most boring signs in the zodiac, I love nothing more than listening to podcasts about the world of astrology and looking at my birth chart. I mean, I don’t believe horoscopes or anything but I think the personality traits can be pretty accurate.

So I thought hey, why not whip up a lil travel guide for you, telling you where to travel to based on your starsign?! Just for a laugh.

I should stress that I am in no way an astrologer and this is just a bit of fun, so don’t get mad if you don’t like your destination!

Capricorn

Dec 22 – Jan 19

Naturally I’m going to start with Capricorn as it’s my starsign. And well, us Capricorns kind of get a bad rap in the zodiac. We’re serious, reliable, disciplined, tenacious, practical… It can sound a bit boring, but I promise we’re also independent and ambitious girl bosses that like to work hard and play hard. So where would a gal like this travel to? Well it had to be a city really didn’t it? And somewhere with lots to do, that will allow us to create detailed itineraries to follow.

So hello New York! The ultimate city break for a Capricorn. The Big Apple offers plenty of opportunity to tick off attractions, has busy and bustling streets that give us energy and cool new brands and events to inspire our next business venture.

Aquarius

Jan 20 – Feb 18

Somewhere easy like Spain or Germany isn’t going to cut it for Aquarians. They’re independent creatures, imaginative and original. And they have a rebellious streak. So I figured somewhere a little off the beaten track would suit the Aquarius babes among us.

So how about Israel? There’s lots to do, from exploring the Old City in Jerusalem to floating in the Dead Sea. It has a bit of everything but hasn’t experienced Instagram overkill so will have enough adventure for our free-spirited Aquarians.

Pisces

Feb 19 – Mar 20

Pisceans are the dreamers of the zodiac. They’re affectionate, romantic and empathetic. They’re also wise beyond their years and usually have creative abilities. So where should these water babies flock to? Italy of course!

Pisces guys and gals will love the romance of Rome, the beauty of Tuscany, and the artsy scene in Florence. They also like to be near the sea so Cinque Terre or the Amalfi Coast would definitely appeal to these babes.

Aries

Mar 21 – Apr 19

I like to think of Aries as the LADS LADS LADS starsign. They’re eager, confident, passionate and competitive. They’re normally extroverts and like a good time. So where else for a good time than Thailand?

Aries will love the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan, the beach parties on Koh Phi Phi and Songkran festival in Bangkok. They’re also the type to eat fried crickets on Koh San Road just to prove they’re not scared of anything.

Taurus

Apr 20 – May 20

Being an earth sign, Taureans are strong, dependable, loyal and hardworking. But they can be cautious, don’t like uncomfortable situations and prefer security. So somewhere safe and easy works for these guys.

I figured Barcelona would be a perfect city break for the Taurus travellers. It’s easy to get around, has lots to do, offers fantastic food and just feels like the kind of city that you can relax and ease into.

Gemini

May 21 – Jun 20

Geminis are social butterflies, charming and funny. They have a curious nature and like to always be on the move. But they’re also pretty versatile with lots of different interests, so I think they would be comfortable in most travel situations.

But for the purpose of this exercise I’m going to recommend a trip to Australia for these babes. Mainly because it has a bit of everything and the people are friendly and approachable. Hit the bars in Melbourne, drive the Great Ocean Road, chill on the Gold Coast or hike the Blue Mountains. Let’s face it, whatever you do, you’re going to have a great time, Geminis.

Cancer

Jun 21 – Jul 22

The most sensitive sign in the zodiac, Cancerians are also total home-bodies, so it’s likely that their favourite place to spend their annual leave is at home on their sofa with a book and their cat. But they also have a fun, inner child that they like to set free. Oh and they’re usually foodies.

So I reckon New Orleans could be a fantastic trip for Cancer travellers. It’s fun with fantastic nightlife and the most amazing Southern food. But it also has a recent sad history that will pull on the heartstrings of our emotional Cancerians.

Leo

Jul 23 – Aug 22

Ambitious Leos are confident, headstrong and compassionate. They’re also pretty fearless. So I think they would quite like a bit of adventure in their holiday.

Sri Lanka could be a great shout for Leos looking for the action. Get up-close to the wildlife, spot leopards in Yala National Park, climb Sigiriya, give surfing a go and ride the train for that iconic Instagram photo!

Virgo

Aug 23 – Sept 22

Virgos are the final earth sign of the zodiac and like their Capricorn and Taurus pals, they are practical, independent and sensible beings. They are also the ultimate perfectionists and like things done according to the rules. So naturally I’ve ruled out most of Asia where no-one queues.

These babes will love Germany where trains run on time and it’s clean and tidy. So Berlin would be a fab city break option for Virgos. Soak up the history and culture, check out the street art and eat all the currywurst you possibly can.

Libra

Sept 23 – Oct 22

The peacekeepers of the astrology world, Libra guys and gals are easy-going, open-minded, sociable and creative. So I figured these hippies would feel right at home in India!

Check into a yoga retreat, relax on the beaches of Goa or visit spiritual Varanasi. Basically channel Eat Pray Love and you’ll be happy.

Scorpio

Oct 23 – Nov 21

Passionate Scorpios are determined, resourceful and brave. They’re also intelligent and intuitive, so I think they would like a trip that’s a bit off of the beaten track.

How about Uzbekistan? It’s not your everyday destination but has beautiful architecture and mosques, and has a lot of history relating to the Silk Road (the ancient trading route between Europe and China).

Other trips the Scorpio starsign might like: Taiwan, Nicaragua and Romania.

Sagittarius

Nov 22 – Dec 21

Ahhh Sagittarius, the infamous fun-loving starsign! These guys are curious, extroverted, optimistic and enthusiastic, so they’re naturally travel-lovers. And being very open-minded there are’t many places they won’t enjoy to be honest!

But, for the purpose of this blog post, I’m going to suggest Cuba! Sagittarians will love dancing all night, drinking rum and exploring this beaut Caribbean island.

Other trips the Sagittarius starsign might like: Las Vegas, Rio De Janeiro and Croatia.
