The cat’s out the bag, I’m heading to Weekender Festival in Jersey next month! I’m super excited about it.
I mean although I love the biggies like Glastonbury and Bestival, smaller boutique festivals definitely have a place in my heart. There are less crowds, you get closer to the bands and there’s normally more of a community vibe, you know?
Plus there are loads of cool bands I really heart that I want to see at Weekender. I mean Two Door Cinema Club are one of my absolute faves. And I’m also really liking Blossoms and Circa Waves lately. AND there’s a bit of a throwback with the Happy Mondays and Goldie Lookin Chain! Oh gosh and The Cuban Brothers! It just looks so good.
Pretty sick line-up for a boutique festival, huh?
Hold up, I haven’t told you about the food yet! YES, FOOD. There’s actually the Weekender ‘Feastiville’ Street Food Picnic on site. And boy oh boy do I love street food. Like, seriously. Each food stall will by selling a tasting platter of its menu at a fixed price of £5, which just sounds like the best idea ever. No more food envy for me sir!
And there’s like street performers and cool things to see, so I think it’s going to be a top notch weekend. Oh and I forgot to mention, it’s the first ever time Weekender is being held so I’ll be one of the first people to experience the festival! It’s also going to be my first time in Jersey so I’m looking forward to exploring the island whilst I’m there too!
