Summer Plans + Festival No. 6!

by

You may have noticed I’ve been pretty busy on the travel front so far this year. There was my long weekend in fabulous Amsterdam, a few UK trips to Cardiff and Northumberland, as well as some London fun, a kickass trip to beautiful Bali with a quick stop in busy Singapore, and I’m currently writing this post from sunny Lisbon where I’m on a business trip with work. Not bad for the first half of the year, right?

Well there’s still so much more to pack into the rest of the year and seriously, I’m getting really good at making the most of annual leave. So what’s next?

Summer plans 2016.

In the not-too-distant future I will be heading to Prague to see what the historic city has to offer a girl. I also have a weekend penciled in to visit a buddy in Bristol and then a really cool trip with a new company run by Expedia called ‘Surprise Trips‘. Which is what is says on the tin, so I don’t know where I’m going until I’m at the airport! Super excited for that one, it’s sounds so cool.

I also have my biggest trip of the year in November which is a trip back to the land down under! I’m going to Australia for a friend’s wedding in Adelaide and currently in the process of booking some more sick activities and cool AF day trips while I’m there. So watch this space!

Festival No. 6.

But what I really want to tell you guys about is pretty exciting! I’ve just been asked to be one of Festival No.6‘s official Instagram ambassadors! I’ve been dying to go to Festival No. 6 for ages as it just looks so awesome, set in a colourful almost Italian-looking town in North Wales in September.

Bastille
Bastille are one of this year’s headliners.

The music line-up is pretty good with Bastille, Noel Gallagher and Hot Chip headlining, but I’m more excited about the cool artsy stuff going on. There is a carnival and a torchlight parade and lots of great cabaret performances and comedians that I’m keen to see. They are always the kind of things that tend to be my highlights at festivals and Festival No. 6 is packed with them!

Oh and did I mention there’s even a beach?! You can go swimming and paddle-boarding and generally just have a great time hanging out – but let’s all pray for sunshine, yes?

But the best part about the festival is that the performances are all within the town of Portmeirion so as well as the big stages such as Stage No. 6 and the Grand Pavillion, there are smaller venues in the village in the Town Hall and even in the woods!
