Plug it in: Why You Need To Bring A Bath Plug Backpackinging!

This is a bit of a weird one. I may bring everything except the kitchen sink… But I do bring its plug.

As you’ve probably realised I went completely overboard with travel gadgets on my trips. Anything Amazon recommended I buy, I pretty much did. So I bought the travel plug as suggested and took it with me, not really knowing what I would need it for.

But it turned out to be a bit of a result!

Almost all hostels and guesthouses do not have plugs. Fact. And why do you need a plug? Well how about so you can fill the sink up to wash your bikinis in between doing your washing? Or on the miraculous occasion that you find yourself an actual real-life bath?!

Baths are hard to come by on the backpacking trail but when you find one, it feels like luxury. That may just be because I’m a bath kind of girl. But if you feel finding a bath on your trip would be a treasure, you need to take a travel plug. Otherwise it’s just teasing you.

I also used mine in the massive sinks you find in laundry rooms of hostels, to soak shoes that got caked in mud whilst working on a farm. Not something I would have preempted on my trip. So I think it’s worth bringing a plug anyway. It’s not like it’s going to take up much room!

You can buy yours from Amazon here for £2.99 – Lifeventure Travel Plug.

So stick a plug in it. God I’m funny…
