The Absolute Genius of the Travelrest

by

Without doubt, you need some kind of travel pillow. Travelling always involves… well… travelling. Planes, trains, buses and all that jazz… If you want to get some shut-eye, you need a travel pillow. Some travellers opt for those squishy, super-comfortable pillows but realistically they take up too much space. Others go for the generic inflatable neck pillow, but I just find them uncomfortable and annoying and that plastic seam digs into my neck. Not that I’m a princess or anything…

But a few months before I went travelling, I was browsing through Amazon, making a wish list of gadgets my family and friends could get me for Christmas, and I came across the Travelrest. And never looked back.

The Travelrest

This bad boy is inflatable like your average travel pillow but is long so you can lean on it and is so much more comfortable! At the bottom it has a loop and at the top it has a string so you can either tie the top to a seat and clip the loop into a seatbelt, or you can hook the string through the loop so it wraps around you completely. It’s hard to describe but trust me on this one, it’s awesome.

It rolls up small and because of the popper you can even attach it to the outside of our backpack like so…

But be prepared for some funny looks. Every time I’ve pulled this mean machine out, I get curious glances as I roll it out, people unashamedly staring as I blow it up and then nods of appreciation as I settle in to snuggle up to the Travelrest. And countless backpackers have asked me where I got it.

It’s not perfect, there is still that pesky plastic seam… but with that handy sarong wrapped around it, it’s a winner.

Get involved. You can buy one here on Amazon – Travelrest – The Ultimate Travel Pillow.
